Yolanda Seach

Yolanda began drawing and painting in her childhood and has continued her artistic work since. Yolanda is well known for her capabilities with a wide range of styles and subject matter, from technically accurate trains to humorous mixed media and naϊve works, from traditional landscapes to contemporary florals, from subtle watercolours to acrylics with impact.

Since 2003, Yolanda has won four firsts, three seconds, two thirds and numerous highly commended and commended awards. She was a featured artist in the Blacktown Arts Centre "Travelling with Birds" exhibition in 2006 and staged her first solo exhibition in the same year. Two of her works were published in the Australian Artist magazine in 2003 and 2004. In 2008, Yolanda donated her oil painting of the 1804 Battle of Vinegar Hill (NSW) to The Hills Shire Council's new Vinegar Hill Memorial Library in the Rouse Hill Town Centre. Graciously accepted by the Mayor, it now hangs there prominently.

In December 2009, The Artists Palette magazine (issue 81) featured Yolanda's oil painting of the Eastbrook Express Train on the front cover, an Insight article with pictures, and a painting demonstration of the Bunda Cliffs (see below) from pages 28 to 34.

Yolanda, who holds a degree in adult education from UWS (and speaks Polish and German fluently), now offers "daytime painting lessons in your home" for those who find it inconvenient to attend art classes. For more details see Yolanda's website.
