The prize at the Painting School of the National Gallery of Victoria for the Best Landscape and the following year for the Best Portrait Head.

Won First Prize for Landscape in Oils at the Albury Art Competition.

Attended special course of study at Slade School of Art in London University College- Etching, Lithography and Graphic Art.

Has painted numerous portraits including those of Major-General Sir Alan Ramsay, Frank Menzies, Harold Blair, Ngarla Kunoth, Rt. Hon. James Viscount Craigavon, Captain Sir John Willliams, Sir Angus Mitchell, Colin Healey, Dr. John Birrell, Sir Geoffrey Newman-Morris, Rev. Ronald Woodgate, Rev. Donald McCrae. These were exhibited during showing of his work.

Has exhibited at the annual Archibald Prize Exhibition in Sydney. His exhibits were selected on two occasions to tour Australian capital cities as part of a representative Archibald collection.
