Maxine Collins
I have lived in Sydney for many years now, having migrated originally from England, and am intrigued by the unique nature of the Australian landscape, and its flora and fauna. I am inspired by the shapes, the colours, the textures and the light of whatever is around me, and have also taken inspiration from visits to foreign lands such as Italy and Greece, trying to express their essence in my works.

I have previously explored painting on silk and on ceramics, but now focus on watercolour, where I love the often unexpected and unpredictable effects that can be achieved, and on acrylics, loving their freedom, especially when used to create contemporary and abstract works.
